Accompanied by my two daughters, Calli, nine-years-old and Kim Han, seven, we started our "kidcation" with some back to school shopping at Settlers' Green. With an Old Navy coupon in hand, and the 40 percent off sale, I was able to find three outfits for each of them for under $75.00. Another good omen, I thought. We then headed for the Chowder House, to try one of those $7.95 lobster rolls. Well worth it, I concluded.
The Mexico Central School art teachers Calgary Balloon Twisting are planning another exciting Celebration of the Arts at the Park with many fun activities. Design your own T-shirt, bring a photo to make your own personal button, create your own jewelry and a windsock. Everyone gets to paint!
Start giving to your customers before they start buying from you. Most businesses do this the opposite way round and only start providing value once their customer has parted with their money. You need to do the reverse. Start building a relationship and offer your customer something of value well before they actually become one of your customers, and believe me your customers will come looking for you and your great reputation!
Including the car show, right across the plaza there will be 100.7 The Bay's BBQ Bash. There will also be activities for the whole family. Crafts, games, live music, face painting, and contests with prizes. Cars will be judged with 25 trophies awarded to the top vehicles on display, and 34 different awards. The first 100 cars will receive a dash plaque. It will be a fun day for all!
Dance - this one needs a bit more organising than most but is suited to children of all ages. It can be linked to a series of fundraising events or the culmination of a school year or festival.
Let them explore - Remember that toddlers are still discovering the world, and camping with kids is a fabulous way of discovering new things, things different from home. Let the kids explore their new surroundings, but do keep an eye on them.
A big highlight was the bungee jump where the kids are propelling with the assistance of a trampoline. After all these endeavors, many more trips down the Alpine Slide followed. The activities close down at 5:30pm, just as the weather began cooling down as well. This was simply a fabulous day together!
